Fantastic experience: After being given our daughter Biffies diagnosis our world fell apart, the only place that has given us hope has been The Centre Of Movement. We are incredibly grateful for their skills, knowledge, warmth and welcoming arms. Biffie arrived at her first intensive unable to weight bare, now through multiple visits to this amazing team our girl has been guided to find her freedom to walk (a milestone we didn’t know would ever be possible). Leaving each session and intensive Biffie gains new skills, but our friendship circle also grows! And we are always counting down the days until we get to come back.

Fantastic experience: When we original started therapy at CoM Kiara entered in a wheelchair a year later she is walking with one quad stick. The passion, dedication and commitment the staff at the clinic offer has been something we never thought we would find. You enable families to come together to support each other. Each goal, each milestone is celebrated with love. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you have done for our girl.

Fantastic experience: Arlo has now completed two one-week intensive therapy blocks with the Centre of Movement team, and I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough. As a mum to a little boy with cerebral palsy, finding a team that truly believes in your child means everything. Every therapist has taken the time to understand Arlo, encourage him, and celebrate every little win with us. Like any child, Arlo has his off days. Some days he’s tired, teething, emotional, or just not feeling 100%, and the team are always so understanding and accommodating. They know when to gently push him, when to adapt the session, and how to make him feel safe and supported while still helping him achieve so much. As a mum, that means more than I can put into words. We’ve already seen incredible progress. Arlo is sitting so much better, and the amount of time he can sit unsupported is growing every day. He’s moving with so much more purpose and intention, and seeing him intentionally press a button to turn on a light was such a special moment for us. These might seem like small milestones to others, but to our family they’re everything. What I love most is that the team never focuses on limitations, they focus on potential. They believe in Arlo, challenge him in all the right ways, and celebrate every achievement alongside us. They also take the time to explain the “why” behind each activity, which has given me so much confidence to continue supporting Arlo at home. Thank you to Ella, Sam, Janine, Emma, Helen and everybody else for your kindness, passion, and your belief in my little boy. Thank you for seeing his potential and helping him work towards it every single day. We are so grateful to be part of the Centre of Movement family. ❤️

Fantastic experience: We honestly didn't know what to expect when we first came to our intensive sessions at Centre of Movement, but from the very first session the team was able to identify areas to work on for both of our daughters including areas we were unaware of. Our 3-year-old completed a 3-week intensive at the Wellington pop-up, and we were amazed at how quickly Ella and Janine built trust with her. By day two she was happily engaging with them, and by the middle of the first week she couldn't wait to go to therapy each day because she got to "play" with Ella and Janine. The strategies and tools they gave us have made a real difference at home. The visual timer has become part of our daily routine and has really helped with transitions. Since therapy, we've noticed she's much more willing to trust new people, and the depth of her language has grown significantly. The home programme they put together has also given us practical activities to keep building on her progress. Our eldest also completed a 1-week intensive and made some fantastic gains. She has become much better at recognising her emotions, regulating herself, and we've come away with practical strategies to help her navigate the curveballs that come up in everyday life. The personalised visuals Ella created for her are now up in both our playroom and her bedroom, and we still refer to them regularly. A huge thank you to Ella for the incredible OT support she provided both of our girls throughout their intensives. She built such wonderful relationships with them and gave us practical strategies that have continued well beyond the programme. Thank you also to Janine for the amazing physiotherapy support with Grace. It was incredible to see how much progress she made in just two weeks, particularly with crossing her midline, multitasking and developing skills we hadn't seen before. Nicole was fantastic from the very beginning, taking the time to answer all of my questions about the programme, helping us through the registration process, and then stepping in as Grace's physiotherapist during her third week. We'd also like to thank Emily for her support during Grace's third week and appreciated the different lens she brought to OT. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, supportive and genuinely cared about our girls. It was also lovely getting to know the other families during the intensive and hearing about their journeys. By the end of the programme, we truly appreciated that Centre of Movement supports children's development far beyond just mobility. Their holistic approach, together with the practical strategies they gave us to continue at home, has made a lasting difference for both of our girls. We're so grateful to everyone at Centre of Movement and would highly recommend them to any family looking for support with their child's development.

Fantastic experience: We had an incredible experience at the COM. My daughter completed a 4-day intensive a few months ago, and we both gained so much from our time there. From the absolute get-go, the entire team was super knowledgeable and extremely caring, making us feel completely supported throughout the week. She has already seen noticeable gains, and the positive impact has been amazing. We’ve already booked in for another week-long intensive in a few months. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Our daughter recently completed a two-week intensive at Centre of Movement, and we honestly couldn’t be happier with how it went. The physical progress she made was fantastic, but what stood out most was the way the team supported her emotionally. She can get pretty overwhelmed by new challenges and had some moments during the intensive where the big feelings kicked in. The therapists were so patient, kind and understanding. They took the time to build trust with her, helping her feel safe enough to keep trying, even when things felt hard. She had so much fun over the two weeks, even when the mahi she was doing was challenging. The team somehow managed to make hard work feel exciting, and she looked forward to going each day. By the end of the intensive, she was confidently doing things that had been new and challenging at the start. Seeing the smile on her face and how proud she was of her achievements was great. We’re so grateful to the whole team for the care, encouragement and expertise they showed our daughter. The impact they’ve had goes far beyond the physical gains, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Centre of Movement to other families.

The team at COM genuinely want the best for your child/ren - so welcoming and helpful, we couldn’t be more grateful we’ve been so lucky to be able to utilise the Trexo robotic walker for our little girl & sessions in hydrotherapy has been amazing. Phoebe has so much more confidence in everything she does - her gait, walking with her heel, finger strength and balancing has improved. Without the full on input ge abd the team have given he would not be doing what ge is doing At 2years old we pull up he out the car running to get to start. These people aemre amazing wgat they do so f easy to talk to about anything a d reality patient with all the children. Would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Having my daughter involved in a 1 week intensive has far exceeded my expectations. We have learnt so much and have some great strategies to implement between now and our next intensive. All of the therapists are amazing, kind, compassionate and extremely patient. Fantastic experience: My 3 year old son have completed a one week intensive therapy at the Rotorua clinic. This was our first time seeing how the therapy can have such a huge positive impact on a child, and that was our child too! The centre is in a very convenient location where everything is close by (cafes, shops, supermarkets, pharmacy). When we first arrived, we were greeted warmly by Helen. She made us feel relaxed immediately and throughout the week, she has continued to check if we needed anything or help with while we're away from home. She and the centre really understands how it's like being away from home. The centre is clearly set up to be like this in mind, they even have a washing machine that they say we could use! The therapists (Sam, Emma, and Ella) were extremely professional, enthusiastic, friendly and approachable. Every morning, they greeted us with a smile and always asked if we needed a coffee. Our son was alittle unsettled the first couple of days but they were persistent and very patient with him. We also learnt heaps as they explained why they're doing each exercise. The therapist worked very well together. Whatever my son has done in previous session is always made known to other therapists in the following session, so they can build upon what was done. After the one week therapy, we and others have noticed an improvement in his strength, muscle tone, body awareness, hand function, and he was also more interactive. We have seen our son do way more things in a week than he has in the last two years, which really restored our hope and vision for our his future. Before the week has ended, we already knew we will come back for another intensive therapy as we will never get sick of seeing our son move. We are incredibly grateful that we are able to access this therapy without needing to do very long distance travel. Thank you Centre of Movement!

Fantastic experience: We had the privilege of attending a 3-week intensive in Rotorua in January 2026 and wow it's been amazing to hear what others have observed, Elijah has had his first IEP of the year and for the first time in 5 years we had a half hour of everyone sharing the progress they have seen in Elijah for his first few weeks back at school - he's engaging with peers, self-regulating, maintaining eye contact, little to no stimming, he's coming home appropriately fatigued and not dysregulated. He's engaging in learning activities for sustained periods of time, trying new foods and initiating interactions on his communication device... one very emotional but happy Mama... thanks to the team at Centre of Movement Rotorua... it took something but it's definitely paying off.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the Centre of Movement! A warm, safe and inviting rehabilitation centre for children. Incredibly skilled, receptive therapists who genuinely take time to know each child and their whānau! Loved the Trexo gait trainer, loads of toys, swings and options depending of the needs of your child!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love center of movement! Our son rowan has gained so much confidence, movement and the ability to trust himself and get out of his comfort zone to achieve things he didn't know he could! We are so proud of him! Helen the lovely practice manager has made our time there a breeze with her careful planning and expertise friendly personality and genuine love for her job! Ella is just great with Rowan her knowledge and lovely nature is second to none! Sam is just the funnest guy with so many cool therapy practices that rowan had so much fun with him he didn't even realize he was actually doing therapy! Nicole is just an all round lovely person her patience and dedication is amazing she even helped us measure rowans feet for some custom shoes and ordered them for us! I cannot recommend the team at center of movement enough! It is pricey but absolutely worth every dollar. We have made life long friends and it is so nice to be in an environment with people who are going down similar paths and understand the struggles of having kids in therapy.

Fantastic experience: Our first ever intensive therapy with our son. Such and amazing and positive environment filled with amazing people. After such a hard time fighting for support in the public system, we feel like we finally found the light. Learned so much and took so much from it that we would never otherwise have been told about or been offered. For the first time in our sons life we can see a path to achieve the milestones we dream for our him. I only wish everyone could access support like this, so that all Kiwi kids are given the early intervention and critical therapy early in life to maximise the potential of thier youth - will they have the developing brains that can benefit so much! Counting the days till we return.

Fantastic experience: It’s great having the Centre of Movement now more accessible in Rotorua, having visited them in Australia last year with my niece, Charlie. Charlie quickly warmed to Sam, Ella and the team this week, their ability to engage with not only Charlie but all the kids is truely amazing and the work that they do is so special! The staff are an absolute credit to the Centre and I can’t wait to see how Charlie continues to build on from the confidence and strength that she gained from this week!

He has absolutely thrived in the environment - the therapists are incredible (extremely knowledgeable, engaging and passionate about their work), the atmosphere is so supportive, and the progress he’s made in one week has been so amazing for us to see as his parents. We’ll be back for a longer intensive soon (can’t wait!), and are so thankful that COM has set up a permanent NZ base.

Fantastic experience: We are absolutely thrilled to have her centre of movement here in New Zealand now! Over the past two years, we have had no option other than to make the trip across the ditch to the Gold Coast to access this amazingly effective DMI intensive therapy. After each session we have found that our daughters strength and ability has boosted enormously. Her gains are undeniable and even though this therapy is costly, it truly is worth every cent. The therapists are all so attentive, knowledgeable and treat your kiddos and parents with such warmth and consideration. There is nothing comparable for us here in NZ and we are so blessed that the owners have heard the cries of us Kiwis pleading to make this life changing therapy accessible for us here. Whatever you have to do to give this therapy a try, do it, you won't regret it. The space they created for families to share and connect with each other over mutual shared experiences is invaluable. Speaking of the space, there a several breakaway rooms for more private sessions for children who get overstimulated, there is always a fresh pot of coffee and teas at your disposal. Full change tables and heated throughout the whole centre so you are always comfortable. There is a table and wifi access should you need to work online while your child is in a session. It's just brilliant, excellence is their aim here and they certainly hit that mark.

Fantastic experience: Centre of Movement opening in NZ has been a game changer for our daughter. The team is skilled, and truly invested in her progress. The space is welcoming and well designed for kids with complex needs. Beyond therapy, they’re helping build a community of parents, sharing stories, support, and hope. We’ve seen real gains and felt genuinely connected. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We couldn't recommend CoM enough! If your kid isn't meeting milestones, get in touch with them. They work miracles retraining the brain and body. We're currently on our third week of our second intensive with CoM. We saw them in Burleigh, Australia last year, and are so stoked that they're now in NZ permanently! It is such a fantastic service that was missing in NZ. Not all kids, ours included, respond well to weekly or fortnightly sessions. Three week intensive are where it's at for a lot of our special kids! Seeing progress, no matter how small, is heartwarming and brings tears to the eyes. We are so grateful to be able to do this. Now fingers crossed ACC get on board to help support this awesome company, and us parents. The therapists are so amazing and fantastic with the kids. We are so glad we found you guys.

Fantastic experience: Centre of Movement is a game changer for therapy offered to children in NZ. The new premises in Rotorua is amazing, lovely open space with several breakout rooms and a large kitchen for families. The organisation has been life changing for our daughter and we are so grateful to now have this offered in NZ as we were previously traveling to Australia. The staff are excellent at what they do and extremely helpful and accommodating. We are excited to continue on our journey with this organisation!
